Hag Fish Skin ;)

For today I have a kind of a palate cleanser if you will. I am so gosh darn pale that nudes really don't do it for me. This is the most boring I get and I actually LOVE greys :)

As for the title of this post, my biology teachers FAVORITE fact:
'Anything marketed as eel skin (eel skin bags or wallets etc) Are actually made with Hag fish skin. But noone would want to buy a Hag fish skin purse!!!'

Haha it cracked me up everytime!!

So for today, I give you Eel Skin by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure!!

All of the above pics have no top coat, one coat on pinky, two on ring, three on middle, and four on pointer.

This was very opaque and you could totally get away with using just two coats!! Plus it is very shiny on its own. 

Right now I am wearing it as a full mani and to change it up I used Essie Matte about you top coat. I think it looks awesome like this!! Now it totally reminds me of hag fish skin!!! haha

In case any of you were wondering here is a pic of a hag fish, I really don't know why they have such a weird name!

They are really cool animals actually, they can tie themselves in a knot to escape predators! woo :)

All of the pictures above have one coat on the pinky, two coats on the ring, three coats on the middle, and four on the pointer.

I am going to be doing all of my swatches like this. And then I will say how many coats I recommend. 

For this polish I think three coats is good :)

Zoya's website describes this as 'A bronzed mauve with purple and brown undertones flooded with bright gold glitter.'

I agree with that statement. But I feel like it is a mauve that leans pink with tons of gold and bronze glitter.

Also, I have heard it is a dupe for OPI's Rally Pretty Pink. So I would definitely buy this cheap alternative :)

Sleepless Stash Post :)

Wanna know when I went to sleep last night?? NEVER!

As of right now I have been awake for.... 35 hours!!

Needless to say I am ridiculously tired and hyper :) I get in a giddy mood if I don't sleep.

But if you wake me up early I get cranky :p so watch out!

ANYWHOOOO.... I figured this would be a good time to post my stash post :)

I did this about a week ago, and now I am sharing it! 

The beginning of the project!!

After I realized I needed the entire drawer without nice little baskets haha

P.S. If you were wondering why I have been up so long, I have no idea. I just laid in my bed wide awake till like 4 am. Then I gave up and started watching TV till it was an appropriate hour. I have tried to take naps but to no avail!! 

P.S.S I now have a vast knowledge on infomercials

Pink Wednesday!! :)

Happy Hump day girls!!!!!!

This is going to be a short post, but I really loved having this on my nails :)

This is two coats of cream pink by Sinful Colors, it is a lovely pink with a hint of a shimmer to it!

Stamped with Konad Special White polish. :) Super girly and fun!

This is probably the girliest mani I have every worn! Do you like this kind of mani or is it a once in a while thing like me??

Haircut and Sunshine :)

So incase any of you haven't seen on facebook already... I cut my hair!! It was super scary but I went ahead and cut it off!!! I went into the salon thinking maybe 3- 5inches would be good. Well then my stylist asked if I wanted to donate it!! I had wanted to donate my hair since I was little but I wanted my hair to still be longish once I cut it. Soooooo... Me before and after the 10inches were chopped right off :)

It is sooo weird having such short hair. I don't think it has been this short since I was seven!! Ahhhh :)

But onto nails now, I painted my friend's nails the other day with the totally unique Psychedelic Sunshine by Finger Paints.

She had a hard time holding the bottle :p

Four coats. 

This was a really goopy polish to work with, it wasn't impossible but it was difficult. It was a really sheer jelly base PACKED with yellow glitter. It is very unique and it is the reason I am going to be keeping it. I don't know if I like it personally, but it is bright and great for summer!

It took foreverrrr to get opaque and it probably could have used another coat but I wont put more than four.

Okay, I have been putting off blogging until I unpacked! Sorry :( And the day I want to start up again... BLOGGER IS DOWN. :( It was all in all a very depressing day. But I have some awesome posts planned so stay tuned :)

For today I figured I would post pictures of all of the hauls I have had in the past two weeks. And you might say, how many hauls could you possibly have? Well....a lot. I truly am addicted haha :)

I have no idea what color this is (no name on the bottle), but If you girls recognize it let me know!!

Here is a true testimony to how awesome Zoya is! I received my Zoya Earth Day order and when I opened it, there were six polishes that I did not order!! I talked to customer service and told them what happened. They shipped my correct order out right away and let me keep the ones I received in error!! I got to get more Zoya and they are all beautiful! I just never would have gotten them myself!!

Exams :(

As many people have probably experienced, exams are STRESSFUL! And time consuming. And overwhelming. And just overall crappy. So I am not going to be posting much for the next week but once I move back home I will probably be doing my nails a crap ton because I will be suffering withdrawals from painting all my roommates nails!!

Here is the AWESOME mani I have had on for like 5 days now (thats how much I love it) and I COULD NOT capture the right color and the flakies at the same time...

This is inside at like midnight :) with flash and before clean up...

The Second picture is much more true to the color of Norra. Its a beautiful vampy shade that looks awesome with my pale skin haha :)

Then I was outside a few days later and took a picture of the flakies glowing...

They flashed orange, green, red, yellow, everything!! When I was taking a test the light was hitting them so awesomely I kept getting distracted!!!!

As you can see it held up pretty well, besides tip wear :) I still have it on now but I think I will change them today to test the 10dayness of the Sally Hansen Effect Strips or whatever :) Its a good way to spend my exam week.
